Students take their main external examinations at the end of Year 11 and Year 13. Additional assessments, including BTECs, Cambridge Nationals and GCSE resits, are scheduled at specific points throughout Years 10–13.

• Mock Exams – Year 11 and Year 13:
  • November: 10^th - 20th November 2025 (inclusive)
  • March: 2^nd - 13th March 2026 (inclusive)
• Summer Public Exams - GCSE and A Level:
  • GCSE start: 7th May 2026
  • A Level start: 11th May 2026
  • GCSE end: 17th June 2026
  • A Level end: 23rd June 2026
• Mock Exams – Year 10 and Year 12:
  • June: 22^nd - 30th June 2026 (inclusive)
• Contingency Day: 24th June 2026 – Reserved by exam boards in case of national or significant local disruption.

Examination Access Arrangements (EAA)

Access arrangements are supportive measures such as the use of a laptop, extra time, a prompt, reader, or scribe. These can only be applied for in secondary schools if we have sufficient evidence that this reflects a student’s normal way of working. Once approved, arrangements remain in place for two years.
