Year 7 Literacy Workshops – Led by Plymouth University

We are very fortunate to be welcoming Plymouth University into school to deliver Literacy Workshops for all Year 7 students. These sessions will be led by author David Jones, supported by Plymouth University student ambassadors.

During the workshops, students will have the opportunity to take on a range of creative roles, including rewriting and illustrating a published book. Students will work as part of their House teams and will be competing for house points.

Workshop dates (by House):

  • 5/5 – Kothman
  • 12/5 – Amkan
  • 19/5 – Determys
  • 3/6 – Movyans

The workshops will run throughout the morning in the Main Hall and will finish after afternoon registration. Breaks and lunchtime will run as normal, and students will attend their usual lessons during Periods 4 and 5.

All Year 7 students will take part. This is a fantastic workshop and a great opportunity for students to showcase their TEAM skills.
