Pastoral Support

Our Sixth Form Centre has a secure and separate feel from the rest of the school. The Sixth Form office has an ‘open door’ policy (literally!) and is always staffed should you have a concern, a worry, or should you just need a chat. Students start their day with the tightly-knit Sixth Form team, and also have daily check-ins with their tutor. Tutors will usually be the first port of call if students are struggling, however there is a wide network of wellbeing support available for students. Mrs Metters, Head of Sixth Form, is available to all students for 1:1 support, our school Safeguarding Team are open to all students, and we have a range of drop-in clinics that Sixth Form students can access ranging from local Youth Support Workers, Targeted Youth Workers and the Cornwall School Nursing team.

Our team of pastoral staff are experienced and knowledgeable, and able to signpost young people to a wealth of registered organisations and local charities and projects. If you are struggling we can help.
