We are currently continuing to run Parents’ Evenings virtually, due to positive parental feedback. Advantages are:
- Parents and carers can connect from home, meaning no childcare, parking or access issues
- System is timed, meaning that appointments run to time
- Appointments can be booked online, rather than relying on a child talking to all their teachers!
We will send you a letter inviting you to your child’s Parents’ Evening two weeks before the event itself. To make appointments, please go to: http://www.parents-booking.co.uk/saltash. You will need your child’s first name, surname and their date of birth. The system will automatically link you to your child’s teachers.
Preparing for your meetings
When you book your appointments, you can add questions to the form that teachers are able to read in advance – this can help to make the appointment more useful for you. Please read your child’s most recent Attainment Profile carefully, as this may lead to questions. You may also like to ask your child to show you their exercise books before you speak to their teachers, as this will give you insight into what your child is learning.
Logging in – on the day of your appointment
Please read the guidance to help you log in on the day to access your virtual meeting. Timings are precise and the system will show you how long you have left for the appointment, before automatically logging you out. This will ensure everyone gets the same amount of time and teachers will stay on schedule. If you require more time, or you need to meet with the Head of Year, please contact the school.
Troubleshooting Tips – Please read before booking
Only parents/carers who we have recorded as having parental responsibility can gain access and it is essential that your name and title is identical to the name and title we have recorded in the school’s database.
The email address you enter is only to receive confirmation of your appointment. If the system is saying it does not recognise you, it will not be the email address that is the problem as the system does not hold your email address.
If you encounter a problem booking, please email email@example.com or call the school and a member of staff will help you.
